Young Thug Denied Bond In RICO Case

Media Take Out Staff |

Young Thug has been denied bond and will have to sit in jail until his RICO trial.

The rapper’s legal team offered to hire a team of off-duty law enforcement officers to monitor him 24 hours a day if he was given home confinement.

His attorney Brian Steel also said Thugger would wear an ankle monitor, take regular drug tests and give up his cellphone and passport, as long as the rapper had access to a studio.

Prosecutor Don Geary told the judge that he believed witnesses would be in danger if Thug is let out.

“We have evidence and information of even more threats,” he said. “Our witnesses in this case are being threatened with violence, serious violence and death.”

Geary continued, “The leader, the top dog, the most dangerous man here is Jeffery Williams. Because he doesn’t have to get his hands dirty. He has others do his business.”

The trial is scheduled to begin on Jan. 9th, 2023.
