Young Thug’s tribute post to Rich Homie Quan continues to run some people the wrong way, and now Quan’s brother has joined the chat.
Earlier this week, Thug shared an emotional Instagram Stories post about Quan, writing, “Never switched on u brada always road with u what happened.”
The message quickly sparked criticism online, including from Quan’s brother, Rich Homie Dre, who suggested both rappers let pride get in the way of repairing their relationship.
Thug fired back by defending how he handled their friendship behind the scenes.
“I didn’t f–k with lucci cause quan didn’t,” he wrote, referencing fellow Atlanta rapper YFN Lucci. “Wasnt my problem but was my brada so I was with him.” He continued, “I’m the definition of loyalty.”
Dre later shared posts criticizing people who only show support after someone dies. “When my boy was here n—s had a chance to converse with him!” he wrote. “That’s all he wanted!”
The exchange escalated further when Young Thug claimed Quan had been subpoenaed in the YSL RICO trial before his death. While Quan was reportedly listed as a potential witness, prosecutors never called him to testify.
Young Thug’s attorney, Brian Steel, previously told the court he believed prosecutors chose not to use Quan because he provided “exculpatory information” regarding his relationship with the rapper.
