The murder trial for deceased rapper Young Dolph began yesterday and in court, prosecutors made shocking claims about Yo Gotti‘s late brother.
Shelby County Assistant District Attorney Paul Hagerman claimed that Justin “Straight Drop” Johnson and Cornelius Smith met with Yo Gotti’s brother Anthony “Big Jook” Mims before the killing because he was the one who put a “hit” out on the rapper.
“Big Jook…,the number two guy at CMG, he’s put out a hit, $100,000 to whoever kills Dolph,” Hagerman told the jury. “He has met with Justin [Johnson]. He has met with Cornelius [Smith], and they think they’re ready to do it.”
Johnson, an aspiring rapper was desperate for the money to help kickstart his music career.
Big Jook, real name Anthony Mims, was shot and killed outside Perignons Restaurant and Event Center in Hickory Hill on Saturday, in January of this year. His funeral had a heavy police presence due to fear of reprisals.
