YNW Melly is on trial for the murders of two YNW crew members Christopher “YNW Juvy” Thomas Jr. and Anthony “YNW Sakchaser” Williams and one detective thinks the rapper was the triggerman.
According to court documents, Detective Christopher Williams wrote that the shooting reconstruction analysis in the YNW Melly murder case concluded that the “shooting was not a drive-by shooting because the vehicle did not have any tears.”
The detective says because of these findings, YNW Melly more than likely fired the shots and not his co-defendant YNW Bortlen, per XXL, and that the shooter was 8 inches away from Juvy when he fired the fatal shot.
Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty. His attorneys asked for a speedy trial. The rapper denies the charges against him and has pleaded not guilty. His manager thinks a jury will find him not guilty.
In February, prosecutors asked for the rapper’s DNA with an oral swab to try and match DNA found at the crime scene where he allegedly shot and killed his friends.
