YNW Bortlen, the rapper who is also facing trial for double murder, was arrested in Miami-Dade County on Monday for witness tampering.
Bortlen was released on bond in 2020 and was prohibited from contacting any of the witnesses…but he allegedly broke the rule and a mother of a witness made an allegation against him.

“Henry had stated to [Melly’s girlfriend], if she was more loyal, she would be driving a pink BMW.” She added that Bortlen made it “clear that if [she] does not cooperate with the criminal case, she would have been rewarded.”
YNW Melly and Bortlen are accused of murdering their friends, Anthony Williams aka YNW SakChaser and Christopher Thomas Jr., aka YNW Juvy in October 2017. The state of Florida argues that Melly, real name Jamell “Melly” Demons was the shooter. They then accuse the rapper of staging a drive-by shooting in Miramar with the help of his friend, Cortlen “Bortlen” Henry.
