Yella Beezy wants more time before facing a jury over allegations that he paid to have fellow Dallas rapper Mo3 killed.
With his murder trial set for September 14, Beezy’s attorneys are asking for a delay following the conviction of Kewon White, the man found guilty of chasing and fatally shooting Mo3 on Interstate 35E in November 2020.
White was sentenced to life without the possibility of release after jurors convicted him of murder.
Beezy, whose real name is Markies Conway, has pleaded not guilty and denied any role in Mo3’s death through his defense team.
During testimony, Cedric Bradley said Kewon White ain’t really have a lot of money and Beezy used him to do the dirty work.

According to AllHipHop, his lawyers argue they need the written transcript from White’s trial before presenting their case and they also want expert Julianna Moore available to explain how cooperating witnesses can potentially benefit from helping prosecutors.
“The White trial took two full weeks from the start…to sentencing,” attorney Toby Shook wrote, adding that the defense does not believe it has enough time to prepare. Shook said prosecutors listed 264 potential witnesses in Beezy’s case, compared with 263 in White’s.
Prosecutors have accused Beezy of orchestrating and funding the killing, while his defense disputes that allegation.
