Ye sat down for a recent interview where he claimed he has never been happier with his life than he is now.
“This is the happiest I’ve ever been in my life,” he told Hypebeast. “I’m with my wife, with Aus Taylor, my visual director at YZY, with Dov Charney. All year, I’ve been with loved ones, doing it independently ourselves.”
Ye lost his billionaire status after a series of anti-semitic rants but no matter what, the industry has not managed to cancel him. His Vultures album still debuted at the top of the Billboard charts.
“The thing is, wind can blow a house down but a bird still needs wind to fly. So without the wind, there’s no flying. And there are times where you are flying against the wind. There are times when you’re flying with the wind,” he continued. “My current single ‘Carnival’ is the number one song in the world right now. That gives me drive.”
The magazine issue was released back in March.
