A federal judge tossed 17 claims from Yailin La Más Viral’s lawsuit against Tekashi 6ix9ine, but he still has a long way to go before his legal battle is over.
The controversial rapper still faces 14 claims, including allegations of physical and sexual abuse, threats, unlawful restraint, sharing explicit material, and taking valuables.
Yailin filed suit against 6ix9ine, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, in September 2024. She accused him of controlling parts of her personal life and her career while simultaneously subjecting her to a pattern of abuse.
Her lawsuit alleges he was “violently assaulting” her and “belittling and humiliating” her during their relationship.
She also claimed he tried to isolate her from friends and relatives.
None of those allegations have been proven in court, and Judge Aileen Cannon’s partial dismissal was not a ruling on whether Yailin or 6ix9ine will ultimately win the case. The judge previously ordered 6ix9ine not to repost one sexually explicit video involving Yailin and to take reasonable steps to stop its continued circulation.
6ix9ine has fired back with claims of his own, accusing Yailin of assault, theft, and sharing an intimate image without his consent.
Other surviving claims accuse 6ix9ine of using images of Yailin and her daughter to promote “La Respuesta,” while several others involve allegedly missing valuables.
He must formally answer the 14 remaining claims by September 14, 2026.
