The three men charged with killing late rapper XXXtentacion have been sentenced to life in prison.
Michael Boatwright, 28, Dedrick Williams, 26, and Trayvon Newsome, 24, were all convicted of first-degree murder and armed robbery by a jury. They will not be eligible for parole. They barely reacted to the sentencing.
“This is a loss we will never truly recover from. We will never get to see Jahseh live to his full potential, we will never get to watch him grow old, we will never get to watch him be a father,” Solomon Sobande, the X’s manager, said in a statement.
XXXTentacion left a motorbike shop with a friend when an SUV blocked his BMW and a masked gunman shot him several times while at the wheel of his car. The killers then grabbed a Louis Vuitton bag containing $50,000 he had withdrawn from the bank, and fled the scene. Hours later, they recorded themselves on their cellphone flashing $100 bills.
