Wiz Khalifa has been charged with illegal drug possession after performing at a festival in Romania.
According to the reports, Wiz openly smoked cannabis on stage during his performance even though the substance is not legal in the European country and possession is punishable by up to ten years in prison.
“During a performance at a music festival held in the resort of Costinesti, the accused was found to have possessed more than 18 grams of cannabis and to have consumed (on stage) another quantity in the form of a handmade cigarette,” Romanian anti-organized crime prosecutors (DIICOT) said in a statement.

The rapper was charged and subsequently released.
After his release, the rapper took to X to apologize.
“Last nights show was amazing,” he wrote. “I didn’t mean any disrespect to the country of Romania by lighting up on stage. They were very respectful and let me go. I’ll be back soon. But without a big ass joint next time.”
