Waka Flocka reacted to the death of Migos rapper Takeoff and thinks sometimes, rappers need to change the way they live.
Shannon Sharpe asked him about the killings of several high profile rappers.
“I can’t tell you why, and I never want to speak on nobody’s death, but I could tell you this: when God blesses you, you have to change your ways, you have to evolve…you have to. I could just say wrong place, wrong time for these guys,” he said.
Sharpe raised that TakeOff’s death stemmed from a dice game involving Quavo and asked whether rappers should leave certain activities alone when they make it big. Waka says that at this point in his career, he does not roll dice.
“Oh yeah, I don’t roll dice. With all respect, why would I roll dice with somebody that ain’t in my tax bracket? It’s liable that some sh-t could happen.”
Waka says that while he has returned to the hood, he’s never done it because he had something to prove.
