Victoria Beckham has finally broken her silence amid a very public family feud, but she is still keeping details about her eldest son private.
In a new interview with WSJ. Magazine, Victoria spoke briefly about the situation involving Brooklyn Beckham and his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, after months of public speculation and explosive accusations.
“I think that we’ve always — we love our children so much,” Victoria said.
The fashion designer and former Spice Girls star, 51, declined to mention Brooklyn by name.
“We’ve always tried to be the best parents that we can be,” she continued. “And you know, we’ve been in the public eye for more than 30 years right now, and all we’ve ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children.”
Victoria’s comments come nearly three months after Brooklyn publicly accused his parents of trying to interfere in his marriage to Nicola.
In a series of Instagram Stories shared in January, Brooklyn claimed David and Victoria Beckham had attempted to “endlessly” damage his relationship and cared more about “public promotion and endorsements above all else.”
He also accused his mother of interrupting his wedding dance with Nicola.
At the time, Brooklyn wrote, “I do not want to reconcile with my family.”
David Beckham later appeared to respond during a television interview, saying, “Children are allowed to make mistakes.”
