Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss may be two of reality television’s most hated stars at the moment, but their illicit affair helped to land the show its first two Emmy nominations.
Vanderpump Rules received a nod in the Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program where it will compete against Indian Matchmaking (Netflix), RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked (MTV), Selling Sunset (Netflix) and Welcome to Wrexham (FX), per Deadline.
The second nomination was for Outstanding Picture Editing for an Unstructured Reality Program category and is up against Deadliest Catch (Discovery Channel), Life Below Zero (National Geographic), RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked (MTV) and Welcome to Wrexham (FX).
“I am so thrilled and happy to find out that Vanderpump Rules has been nominated for two Emmys,” Ariana Madix said in an Instagram Story. “We have the absolute best crew in the whole world and the best production, and I mean, we’ve been through so much, and obviously last season, you saw some really raw and some really raw things that we were going through and to have that be recognized is just, it’s such a thrill, and it’s such an honor.”
