Universal Music Group is asking to be dismissed from a lawsuit filed by a Jane Doe who alleged Sean”Diddy” Combs and Aaron Hall r-ped her in 1990 when she was just 16.
Doe says she and a friend were invited back to an apartment and alleges Diddy “coerced” her into sex and that Hall later “barged into the room, pinned her down and forced [her] to have sex with him.”
Law360 reports that Jane Doe’s assertions are “untimely,” and that they are not involved in the incident.
“The Complaint’s allegations, if true, are certainly disturbing. Plaintiff makes no allegation supporting vicarious liability for battery or assault (nor could she),” the complaint reads.
“Plaintiff’s NIED [negligent infliction of emotional distress] claim also fails because she has not alleged any duty owed to her by UMGR, and nowhere in Plaintiff’s Complaint does she allege that UMGR’s conduct was extreme and outrageous, as she is required to do as a matter of legal sufficiency,” the statement continues.
