Uncle Murda recalled the time he was summoned to the studio to write for Kanye West and he says things were tense between Big Sean and Ye.

“[Kanye] had me starting to write. It was me and Big Sean. This damn near the first day I was fu-king with the n-gga. That’s how I know Big Sean was really pissed off at the n-gga when they had their issues,” he said.

He continued, “Because I remember just being in the studio and Ye was like, ‘Damn.’ This beat was really f-cking with him. He was like, ‘Go head, try to put something together. He called Big Sean, ‘Try to work on this beat as well. It been f-cking with me the last few days, I can’t come up with nothing. I remember Big Sean. ‘Ight, cool.’ I’m like, ‘That n-gga want me to write already?’ No blunt or nothing — just go. It was him and Steve Stoute.”

Big Sean was freed from Ye’s G.O.O.D. Music record label in 2021 after 14 years.
