Dr. Umar Johnson is defending Sean “Diddy” Combs and is questioning the timing of his federal arrest and charges.
Johnson says that while people are focused on Diddy, they will not be focused on the election.
“They gave you Puff Daddy during election season for a reason,” he explained on livestream. “This is a distraction. And because they know Black people love to see Black people disgraced, humiliated, and destroyed, they said, throw them one of their own.”
He continued, “They always do this when they’re planning something really, really big that they don’t want Black people to pay attention to.”
Johnson says that there is nothing wrong with the discussion surrounding Diddy, but says that the news is flooding everyone’s timeline and distracting us from the real issues…November’s election.
“There’s nothing wrong with a conversation on Sean Puffy Combs,” he sadded, “but when you scroll through Black Twitter, Black Instagram, and all you see is gossip and conversation about one man at a time like this, then you know you are engaged in a grand distraction.”
