There’s a growing rumor across social media that Spice, the popular Dancehall star who is also on Love & Hip Hop allegedly suffered a medical emergency, while getting surgery in the Dominican Republic.
The first report of Spice’s alleged mishap came form the popular IG page Surgery 411, a typically reliable plastic surgery page. The page claimed that Spice was in the Dominican Republic, getting liposuction, and the surgery somehow went awry.
The rumors of Spice’s continued to grow … and it morphed into an even more serious condition. Within a few hours, another plastic surgery IG blog was claiming that Spice was in a coma, after getting a botched butt lift.
The rumors went into overdrive, when legendary Dancehall artist Lady Saw – who is now a Christian minister – went on Facebook Live to pray for Spice. And Lady Saw claimed that Spice was near death, after botched surgery.
Well Media Take Out decided to get to the bottom of things, and reached out to Ray Alexander, Spice‘s booking agent. He denied rumors that the Queen of Dancehall suffered a heart attack or that she was placed in a medically induced coma in the Dominican Republic, after developing complications during a cosmetic procedure.
“Spice hasn’t had a heart attack, neither is she in a coma. Those are all lies. The rumors were caused by people not knowing where she was and because she hadn’t posted on IG.”
In October, Spice, who turned 40 in August, hinted that she would be off social media for several months.
