Turk may have reignited the beef between Gillie Da Kid and Lil Wayne after calling him a clout chaser in his Drink Champs interview.
Years back, Gillie and Weezy had a huge falling out and Gillie claimed he penned some of Wayne’s biggest hits at the time.
“You talking ’bout my lil bro, you wrote for him. You ain’t write for no Lil Wayne, n-gga,” Turk said. “You ain’t write for Lil Wayne and I stand on that. Shawty, been doing this sh-t. You a clout chaser. Now talk about that.”
In Gillie’s own Drink Champs interview in 2020, he addressed the claims.
“If you Google it, Stunna said that out his mouth, ‘He wrote some things for the company but he didn’t get paid what he got paid.’ So that was gratifying enough,” he said.
Since The Carter, Wayne has gone on to have platinum selling albums, without Gillie’s alleged help.
