Lyndon Abioye |

Troy Ave has been released from Rikers Island after six months of incarceration.

The rapper celebrated his release by taking a video of himself standing beside a Rikers Island sign holding a bag of cash. His girlfriend welcomed him home with a reported $2 million in cash and a red Lamborghini Urus.

”Ya boi home!” he captioned the post.

Troy Ave turned himself in back in February to begin his one-year prison sentence stemming from the 2016 Irving Plaza shooting.

During the shootout, podcaster Taxstone shot and killed Troy Ave’s bodyguard and close friend, Banga. Taxstone was arrested in Brooklyn in January 2017 and convicted last year of one count of manslaughter in the first degree, two counts of assault in the first degree, one count of assault in the second degree, and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.

Following his release, Taxstone must also complete five years of post-release supervision.
