During a recent episode of Khloé Kardashian’s Khloé in Wonderland podcast, former NBA player Tristan Thompson revealed he had a vasectomy after some pressure from her.
Thompson “may have had a little ultimatum,” Kardashian said, before adding, “sometimes you have to get forced into the right decision.”
The exes share two children, daughter True, 8, and son Tatum, 3. Thompson is also a father to two children from prior relationships.
“I’ve been a little hardheaded at times,” Thompson said while discussing the procedure. “More times than not, which I wish I wasn’t as stubborn. I guess I am an experience learner. I learn from experience, not as much as being told … No more kids, unless it’s coming from Khloé’s embryos.”
Kardashian and Thompson’s relationship began publicly in September 2016. They split in 2021 after years of ups and downs, including Thompson fathering a child with another woman while they were together. Despite their past, they have continued raising True and Tatum as co-parents.
A vasectomy is a birth control procedure that “cuts and seals the tubes that carry sperm,” according to the Mayo Clinic. While reversals can be done, the clinic says there is “no guarantee” they will work.
Thompson said he “signed off,” though Kardashian said sperm was saved for his possible future wife.
