Hip-Hop has failed to reach the number one spot in the Billboard singles chart this year…but Trinidad James says that Gunna still came through.
“Please Stop Saying The Summer Was Boring. That’s a Lie you wanna make true. @gunna Saved It for Male Hip Hop. God Don’t Make Mistakes. #DAD,” he captioned a post featuring artwork of the rapper.
After being released from jail, Gunna’ released “Bread & Butter” his first single since he accepted a plea deal in the YSL RICO case. Gunna used the track to deny allegations he snitched on Young Thug.
“You bitch-ass n-ggas got me as the topic of the chat/You switched on me when you know you in business with a rat/ And the boy that’s like your brother, ain’t nobody speak on that/The city see it clearly if I had to state a fact/You still f-ck with a n-gga that done got yo’ partner/Heard these n-ggas talkin’, only knew ’em ’cause of Slatt/These rap boys need more streams, heard he put my name on wax.”
