Trina and her family are known for representing the City of Miami hard. But for the second time, Trina and her family must deal with the murder of one of their own – in their beloved city.
Media Take Out learned that Trina’s 16 yr old niece, who went by the name Suga, was shot and killed while out with friends in Liberty City. She was gunned down less than 10 blocks from the spot where Trina’s brother was shot and killed just a decade ago.
Suga was preparing to start her senior year of high school next month. Now she’s with the angels.
According officers, police arrived at the scene to find a female with an apparent gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other victims who had been shot were driven independently to the hospital. Their conditions have not yet been released, but they are both expected to survive.
This isn’t the first member of Trina’s family to be gunned down on the streets of Miami.
In 2013 a 27-year-old man was charged in connection with the fatal shooting the famous female rapper’s brother. That shooting was mere blocks away from where Suga was killed.
Ron Dobson faced a second-degree murder charge, police said in an arrest affidavit.
Residents said that the rapper’s brother Wilbrent Bain, who went by the nickname “Gonk,” was shot and killed in the Hialeah neighborhood of South Miami.
