Trey Songz is reportedly under investigation after an alleged altercation with a cameraman outside a New York venue on Sunday, July 13.
Photographer Isaia Mansoor told TMZ Hip Hop that the incident occurred at The Ivy in Huntington, NY, where Songz was slated to appear. Mansoor says the venue owner hired him to capture photos and video during the event.
According to Mansoor, tensions began inside when an argument broke out between Songz and a group of patrons. The situation escalated as fans asked for photos and videos, reportedly aggravating the R&B singer.
After the crowd moved outside, Mansoor says he tried to photograph Songz near the venue’s logo at the request of the owner.

That’s when Songz, allegedly unaware of Mansoor’s role, lashed out.
“He punched him in the head and threw him against a wall before smashing two of his cameras,” according to Mansoor. When the venue owner informed Songz that Mansoor had been hired, the singer allegedly replied, “I didn’t give a f–k” about Mansoor’s affiliation.
Mansoor says he took cover in a friend’s car as Songz fled. He later filed a police report and Songz is now under investigation.
Reps for Songz have not publicly commented on the allegations.
