Trey Songz is demanding more than $500,000 from a Texas concert promoter, claiming a Fort Worth show collapsed after the promoter missed a required payment and postponed the concert without his approval.
The R&B singer’s production company sued promoter Darryl Austin over an Aug. 8 performance at Will Rogers Auditorium. According to the lawsuit, Austin made his first payment but failed to make a second installment due July 8, then requested a postponement. Songz’s team refused and demanded payment.
The suit claims Austin postponed the concert anyway, costing Trey Songz performance and meet-and-greet revenue while allegedly damaging his professional reputation and future earning potential.
Songz has been involved in several legal fights over the years.
In December 2025, he was arrested in New York over allegations stemming from two nightclub incidents. Court records later showed all charges were dropped in January 2026.
That same month, the controversial star sued Kansas City police and others over his 2021 arrest at a Chiefs playoff game, alleging negligence connected to the confrontation.
He has also faced multiple civil lawsuits alleging sexual misconduct, accusations he has denied. Several of those cases have been dismissed or dropped.
