Elon Musk might have caught more than just heat in the White House, according to Steve Bannon, who alleged that the tech boss got beat down by Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on his way out as head of DOGE.
According to a new report from The Washington Post, things got physical back in April during a heated Oval Office showdown over the nomination of IRS commissioners. Sources say Musk “rammed into Bessent like a rugby player” after Donald Trump reportedly took Bessent’s side in the debate.
As the two left the room, Bessent wasn’t about to let it slide, allegedly calling Musk a “fraud” to his face. That’s when shoves were exchanged, with Musk supposedly initiating the altercation and Bessent reportedly responding before others intervened to break it up.
If you were hiring people and somebody showed up for a job interview like this, dressed like shit, with a black eye and obviously high as fuck, you’d tell him to fuck right off wouldn’t you? Where are the media on Elon Musk’s obvious drug addiction? pic.twitter.com/ZR4sGlj53V

“President Trump heard about it and said, ‘This is too much,'” Bannon told The Post.
Trump appeared in his last Oval Office visit sporting a black eye. Trump claimed he offered Musk make-up to cover the eye, but he declined. Since the fallout, Musk has alleged that Trump is in the Epstein files. Trump responded by threatening to pull all of Musk’s government contracts, while Bannon is calling for Trump to have Musk deported.
