Travis Hunter’s Wife Puts Shannon Sharpe on Blast After Jaguars Star Makes NFL History… He Claps Back!

Travis Hunter’s wife, Leanna Lenee, isn’t letting anyone downplay her husband’s historic NFL performance, including Shannon Sharpe.

The Jacksonville Jaguars star made history on Sunday, becoming the first NFL player in 24 years to catch a touchdown pass and record an interception in the same game.

Lenee celebrated the milestone by throwing shade at Sharpe, who has previously questioned how extensively Hunter could play on both offense and defense.

“Anyways… @shannonsharpe84 When you speak about my husband make sure you put ‘TWO WAY’ player in front,” she wrote on Instagram Stories.

Sharpe wasted little time clapping back, addressing Lenee’s remarks during Sunday’s episode of his Nightcap podcast.

“We’ve been abundantly clear that the likelihood of him playing every snap, every down, on both sides of the ball isn’t gonna happen,” the former NFL star said.

Sharpe maintained that his comments concerned Hunter’s workload, not his ability to contribute on both sides of the ball.

“He played nine snaps [on offense against the Texans] That’s all we said!” he explained. The sports commentator also acknowledged Lenee’s determination to defend her husband.

“Hey, I understand that is your husband, and you’re supposed to ride for him,” Sharpe added.

He reiterated that he believes Hunter can be an every-down cornerback while contributing offensively in selected packages.
