Trae The Truth says he was invited to the White House but turned down the invitation so that he could keep helping the community in Buffalo in New York after the mass shooting.

“I was invited to the White House today to meet with the president with the families of those who have been wrongfully murdered by police,” he wrote on Instagram. “But the people of Buffalo, N.Y. are really in need as well as the families of the children murdered in Uvalde. So I will have to pass. I will be in the field with the people in need.”

“A Lot Of Families Need Us More Than Ever Right Now So I Will Be In The Field…. 🙏🏿,” he captioned the post.

An 18-year-old man named Payton Gendron allegedly shot and killed 10 people Saturday afternoon in Buffalo, New York. Authorities claim he was a white supremacist and the attack is being called a hate crime because the victims were targeted because they were Black.
