Months after his fight with rapper Z-Ro, Trae Tha Truth has been charged with assault.
The incident took place on August 27 at a hip-hop event on Sunday, when Trae The Truth and his homies, which include rapper Jay’Ton ran into Z-ro. Trae and his crew reportedly ran down on Z-ro, and beat him senseless. It was even reported that one of Trae’s people allegedly snatched Zro’s chain.
The incident was broken up by police, but no one was taken into custody, Media Take Out confirmed. The fight was caught on tape and went viral at the time.
Days later, Trae The Truth took to Instagram to address his fight with Z-Ro…denying reports that he ambushed his cousin.
“I’m going to address this one time and one time only. I feel like I’m at a point in my life where I’m not finna sit here and let stuff just linger around. But I do feel I owe it to people to know…especially people who really rock with me and know the situation that they trying to paint, the narrative they’re painting…that sh-t is false,” he said.
He is currently out of jail after posting a $100 bond. He is due back in court on Jan. 6.
