TikTok’s best-known MJ impersonators, Fabio Jackson and Michael Trapson, watched the new Michael biopic trailer together on livestream, and their excitement quickly turned into a critique session.
Fabio started by praising Jaafar Jackson, calling Michael’s nephew a natural fit for the role. But once the trailer got going, he admitted he expected to “nitpick” and said a few details threw him off right away.

He questioned how certain styling choices made it through, saying the hair in some scenes didn’t match the era and pointing out pants he thought were way too tight.
He even joked about the unexpected number of legwarmers, insisting the real Michael only wore them occasionally. Both impersonators also flagged what looked like the wrong version of one of MJ’s signature gloves.
“Too much legwarmers,” he added. “I hope that they actually remove those things in a couple situations, because Michael only wore those things a couple of times.”
Fabio had already shared a stunned, silent reaction when the trailer first dropped, writing that fans have waited so long that the first look felt like a lot to take in.
