In a recent interview Tony Yayo recalled the time the NYPD tried to pressure Mobb Deep’s Prodigy to set 50 Cent up.
“They wanted him to plant the gun on 50,” Yayo told Vlad.
The cops once arrested Prodigy and after finding a weapon in the car, told him they’d let him walk if they gave up information on 50 Cent.
“The cops probably had a problem with him. There’s a lot of cops that are fans. They’ll run down, ‘Yo, I was gonna give you a ticket but I knew it was your car.’ It be stuff like that in New York because we legends out there,” said Yayo. “They were some bad cops. They wanted to, you know, set a muthaf-cka up.”
Last week, Fif shot down speculation that he would ever reunite G-Unit. He said him and Yayo will always be cool.
“If he does something wrong, I don’t care what magnitude of it is, he’ll go, ‘My bad.’ And he’ll go, ‘Aight.’ And we just keep going ’til the next time he does something wrong. That is our relationship.”
