In February it was announced that Tom was gonna play Romeo in West End’s production of “Romeo & Juliet”. Last week, they announced newcomer Francesca Amewudah-Rivers as Juliet.
And Twitter – especially right-wing Twitter is up in arms.
There’s been a lot of hate towards Francesca online on the far right social media platform because she’s a black girl playing Juliet and because her looks are unconventional.

She has written, composed, and acted in British television shows and movies, and will soon take the stage alongside Tom Holland in London’s West End.

She played Blessing on the BBC show for 13 episodes.
