Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne is reportedly facing backlash from her estranged husband, Tom Girardi’s loved ones, who claim the reality star abandoned him during his time of need.
Last month, Tom was sentenced to more than seven years in prison after being found guilty of embezzling millions of dollars from his former clients.
Tom was accused of stealing millions from vulnerable clients, including widows, orphans, and burn victims. He allegedly used settlement funds to fund a luxury lifestyle and finance Erika’s fledgling music career, triggering lawsuits, disbarment, and federal charges of wire fraud and criminal misappropriation.
“The second that things started unraveling, Erika ran for cover and left him to rot,” a source told Radar Online.
Since Tom’s charges were made public, Erika repeatedly claimed she had no knowledge of his crimes and worked hard to distance herself from him. She immediately filed for divorce.
Another source added, “She ditched him the moment the money ran dry.”
Jayne is now being sued for $24 million by her estranged husband’s bankruptcy trustee.
