Todd Chrisley Calls Out ‘Southern Charm’s Patricia Altschul Over Shady Charleston Move Comments

Todd Chrisley isn’t holding back after Southern Charm’s Patricia Altschul made a dig about his and wife Julie Chrisley’s planned move to Charleston, South Carolina.

“During the [post-prison] press conference I had stated that we are doing a hotel and it’s going to be near Charleston, South Carolina,” Todd shared on the couple’s Chrisley Confessions 2.0 podcast.

But when Altschul was asked about the Chrisleys relocating, Todd said she responded, “Well there goes the neighborhood.”

“I’ve never had an issue … I always thought she was a classy lady,” he said of the 83-year-old Bravo star.

Altschul had commented on Instagram in response to a post claiming the Chrisleys were moving to Charleston to film a new show.

Todd said he was shocked by the remark and even told fans not to retaliate. “I said, ‘Please don’t. Please don’t go back on this old lady. Do not do that,’” he recalled. “Because at the end of the day, she’s old.”

He then joked, “She’s already, according to the tabloids, transferred her assets over to her son. I guess she’s getting ready for death.”

Todd added, “That was a little shocking. Not that Patricia is going to keep me out of Charleston, South Carolina. Patricia should know that we are born and [raised] in South Carolina.”

He pointed out that Altschul is originally from Richmond, Virginia. “She doesn’t need to worry about how I make my money. At this age, I could end up marrying someone like Patricia and take her money,” he said. “That’s kinda what she did. Kinda how she made her money.”

He added, “I don’t dislike her. She’s just playing a role. A younger woman marries an older man, and he dies, she gets the money […] Maybe I’ll become Patricia’s walker. Maybe her son has to worry about me inheriting her money.”

Despite the spat, Todd said that most people have welcomed the couple’s plans after their release from prison. After serving 28 months for fraud, both Todd and Julie were pardoned by former President Donald Trump in May.
