Timbaland upset Britney Spears fans after making some remarks that fans are calling disrespectful.
“She going crazy, right?” the producer asked the panel audience. “I wanted to call and say, ‘JT you gotta put a muzzle on that girl man.’ But you know what? We live in the age of social media and viral. Everybody wanna go viral. I get it cause that’s the way you make money, go viral. ‘I gotta do something to get people’s attention.'”
Britney fans dragged him online. Britney was finally freed last November after a judge ended her 13 year conservatorship. Every aspect of her life was controlled and Britney felt like she was being held prisoner by her father and her security team.
On Instagram Live, Timbaland was asked if he would be apologizing to the pop singer.
“I apologize to the Britney fans and her,” he said. “Yes, ‘you know about respecting women?’ Hell yeah.”
