Tiffany Haddish Denies Reports That She’s “Spiraling Out” After DUI Arrest

After Tiffany Haddish was arrested for her second DUI weeks back, a report surfaced online saying folks close to the comedian were concerned that she was getting out of control.

“As soon as I heard it, I said ‘goddamn, I’m glad she’s okay,'” a friend told Page Six at the time. “You would think that someone would have a driver in that situation. This is tough because there’s nothing anybody’s gonna say to take away that this is her second offense. The way people look at drinking and driving. Hopefully there’s a lesson to be learned. If people want to be critical, I say f-ck that — you don’t know what a person is going through. You don’t know what’s troubling a person.”

In a new Instagram Live, Tiffany addressed the “friend.”

“I got nothing but love for all of you – even the people that think I’m spiraling out. Ain’t no spiral here, honey. Mm mm. Just some cleaning. God’s cleaning house and woke me up. It’s time to wake up! She woke! Woo, she woke! And it feels so good. And look. Look at that. New boundaries, new limits,” said Haddish.

She continued: “No longer helping those that don’t help themselves. No more being nice. Mm hmm. No more trying to help. Yes, the hair color’s for my grandmother. My grandma’s color was this. I’mma act like her. Don’t help nobody that don’t help themselves. And if you thought I was in jail, I’m not in jail. I’m in paradise on earth. Ain’t gon’ find me nowhere near you. Gon’ have to pay to be with me. Period. I’m a see y’all later. Deuces.”
