Tiffany Haddish is speaking out about her past relationship with Chicago rapper Common and says he chased her for two years trying to date her.
The couple dated in 2020 and broke up the following year.
“The only celebrity I’ve entangled with, it was two years of him chasing me down before I finally was like, ‘Okay, let’s do something’,” she told PEOPLE. “That was top of 2020, but we met at the beginning of 2018, 2017.”
Common addressed the breakup on Hollywood Unlocked With Jason Lee Uncensored in December 2021. According to the rapper, the split was “mutual” after he and the comedian “came to the understanding that this is what’s gonna be best for us. To still continue to love each other and be there for each other is to not be in a romantic relationship because we won’t be able to give to that. I don’t want to be one foot in, one foot out.”
Tiffany remains single but Common has moved on to Jennifer Hudson and the couple appear to be very happy together.
