During an episode of her new reality show, “Tia Mowry: My Next Act”, the actress gets candid about her divorce from Cory Hardrict, and her relationship with her sister Tamera.
While discussing the divorce, Tia says she wishes she can pick up the phone and call her sister, Tamera. But she can’t because the two simply aren’t “close right now.”
Tia goes on to say that the most difficult part about her divorce is feeling “alone.”
Tia and her sister Tamera burst onto the scene back in the 2000s, when they starred in the TV series Sister Sister. The two young ladies grew into women in Hollywood – before Tamera got married, they were more than just sisters, they were best friends.
But Media Take Out learned that the sisters slowly began drifting apart after Tamera got married to right-wing news executive Adam Housley. Tamera and Adam began adopting very radical conservative views, and that left Tia feeling estranged.
In the viral clip, Tia also addresses she and Cory’s awkward exchange on the Essence Black Women In Hollywood Awards red carpet.
While on the red carpet, the two bumped into each other, and hugged publicly for the first time since they announce their divorce.
Fans couldn’t help to notice how awkward the interaction was. “Not knowing whether to shake or hug your ex wife is really a scary place to be. From waking up together in love and living life beautifully to this! Sheesssshhhhhhh Jesus leave the wheel take the whole car” noted one fan.
