Ron Cephus, the Emmy award winning actor who starred in the hit show This Is Us and Paid in Full is no longer with us, Media Take Out has learned.
Embed from Getty ImagesAccording to his family, the actor finally succumb to a series of ailment that he’s been battling for years. The official caused of death – according to the family – was a “long-standing pulmonary issue” – which took his life on August 19th at the age of 66.
Ron battled chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and received a double lung transplant at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in 2020, where he was a patient for almost two months.
Embed from Getty ImagesDuring his time at the Los Angeles medical facility, Jones had to relearn how to do essential daily activities like breathing, eating, and walking, telling the publication that despite his health challenges, he yearned to perform again one day.
“My whole life has been the stage,” Ron told his fans. “The idea of not performing again seemed worse to me than death.”
Ron was actor, best known for his role as William Hill in the drama series This Is Us (2016–2022), which earned him four consecutive Primetime Emmy Award nominations, winning twice for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series in 2018 and 2020.
