A man who was wanted in connection with the killing of rapper PnB Rock has been arrested and charged.

Freddie Lee Trone was taken into custody at about 1 p.m. Thursday, LAPD says. His 17-year-old son and his wife were already in police custody.

PnB Rock, real name Rakim Allen, was shot and killed at Roscoe’s House of Chicken ‘N Waffles in south Los Angeles while eating with his girlfriend.

“[Allen] was brutally attacked by an individual who, apparently, we believe… came to the location after a social media posting of the artist and the woman accompanying him,” LAPD Chief Michel Moore said.

Trone and his teenage son were each charged with one count of murder, two counts of second-degree robbery and one count of conspiracy to commit robbery. Shauntel Trone was charged on one count of being an accessory after the fact to the killing.

Freddie Trone will be extradited back to Los Angeles.

“The murder of Mr. Allen dimmed a bright light in the lives of his fans, friends and most importantly his family,” District Attorney George Gascón said in a statement. “The accused individuals’ alleged actions in this case were heartless and cruel and robbed the world of Mr. Allen’s talents.”
