Brittany Cartwright, star of Bravo show The Valley, is spilling more details about her split from estranged husband, Jax Taylor, and says that he made mean comments about her body after she’d given birth to their son, Cruz.
“He would talk about my body all the time. I’ve got stretch marks from having his son. He would say that I looked like a tree trunk,” she said on The Valley: After Show.
“He would say it in front of my friends,” Brittany continued, “And he never wanted me to vent to my friends, so he would try to make me feel like I don’t have any friends.”
Several cast members confirmed that Jax used to mock Brittany’s body, calling her “fat” in front of them.
“[He] was horrible. He would go out to people and talk about how amazing I was in public and stuff, but then he would come home that very same day and tear me to pieces,” she added. “He was treating me so bad. I guess he wasn’t attracted to me anymore or something, and he, like, let me know it.”
In the premiere episode of the show, Jax revealed that he and Brittany were close to reconciling until he discovered she had been hooking up with his friend, Julian.
Jax denies calling Brittany fat and claims that his castmates are just out to get him.
The Valley airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo and the following day on Peacock.
