On a recent episode of his podcast In The Mind of a Man, The Valley star Jax Taylor opened up to his former Vanderpump Rules costar Tom Schwartz about his past cocaine addiction,
“I had a sixth sense of finding it no matter where we were, what state or country we were in, I found it within minutes,” said Taylor.
Last month, Taylor revealed his previous addiction to the world after sharing his bipolar and NPD diagnoses.
Schwartz admitted that he knew when Taylor was high off the white powder because “his eyes were bulging out of his skull,” and because of the way he held his drink.
“It got to the point where like, I needed it to be social,” Taylor continued. “It was a social drug for me. Like in the beginning days, in the early days, I did it of course because I like the rise, but towards the end I did it just to stay awake because I would crash around 9 or 10 o’clock.”
Taylor says he’s now California sober.
“It’s not difficult,” Taylor added. “But it’s just, I have to really psych myself up if I know I’m going to be in a large group where people are drinking.”
In this week’s episode of Bravo’s The Valley, viewers saw Taylor and his ex-wife, Brittany Cartwright, speaking openly about a violent incident where the reality star became enraged after finding out that Brit had been sleeping with one of his friends while they were separated.
