The Kid Mero is joining a growing list of public figures condemning Laura Loomer after she used racist language to attack five Black women in public office.
“She’s trash, bro,” Mero said on his Hot 97 morning show after discussing Loomer’s offensive remarks about Florida State Rep. Angie Nixon, Reps. Ilhan Omar and Ayanna Pressley, former Rep. Cori Bush and Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson.
Loomer called the women “ghetto, entitled, race-obsessed, destructive black B–CHES” in an Aug. 28 post on X and claimed they were unfit to hold power.
Mero mocked Loomer’s credentials as a political activist, joking that the title made as much sense as him calling himself an NBA player because he sometimes sits beside Carmelo Anthony. His co-host Miabelle also tore into Loomer for spreading harmful stereotypes about Black women.
“That’s what people always lean towards when they don’t know what else to say,” said Miabelle.
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries also tore into Loomer, calling her a “stone-cold racist,” while Maryland Gov. Wes Moore accused her of using racism because it is “good for your clicks and your business model.”
Civil rights attorney Ben Crump said Black women should “NEVER have to endure” racist attacks for stepping into leadership roles.
Former Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene also denounced Loomer’s remarks, calling her rhetoric “hateful, racists, and demeaning.”
Nixon responded directly to Loomer, saying, “Girl. You ate dog food on camera.”
