The Game says all Hip Hop and R&B artists should have cancelled their performances at the AMAs after Chris Brown’s Michael Jackson tribute was scrapped.

“When they pulled @chrisbrownofficial’s performance from the AMA’s…all hip hop & r&b artists should’ve declined to. But we’ll never be that unified & that’s why they keep & will always use us, suck the culture dry & disrespect us in our faces and behind our backs,” The Game wrote on Instagram Stories.

According to reports, the AMAs were worried about Breezy and Jackson’s reputations but the organizers of the awards have not spoken publicly about its decision.

Jermaine Dupri also spoke out about the decision.

“If the American Music Awards canceled the Chris Brown performance then that means they canceled the 40th anniversary of Thriller. Which means they canceled the Michael Jackson tribute. Black Music, we in trouble,” he said in an Instagram video.

Was the AMAs right to pull the performance?
