Teyana Taylor and Aaron Pierre have ended their relationship after less than a year together, following weeks of online speculation about the couple’s status.
Taylor, 35, is currently earning awards buzz and has been nominated for a Golden Globe for her supporting role in One Battle After Another. Pierre, 31, is preparing for several high-profile projects, including the upcoming Star Wars: Starfighter and the DC Studios and HBO series Lanterns.
Neither Taylor nor Pierre has publicly commented on the breakup, and the reason behind the split remains unclear. Sources told Page Six that the two have simply “gone their separate ways.”
The pair first sparked dating rumors earlier this year after attending the Fifteen Percent Pledge Gala together in Los Angeles. They were later spotted at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, and Pierre appeared in a trailer for Taylor’s 2025 album Escape Room, where the two shared an on-screen kiss.
By summer, Taylor made their romance Instagram official, posting photos in honor of Pierre’s birthday. The couple also attended the BET Awards together, where Taylor opened up about their bond. “He’s very gentle,” she told Complex at the time. “It allows me to feel warm and to feel safe.”
Pierre echoed the admiration during a panel for Taylor’s album, calling her “really one of one.”
Taylor was previously married to former NBA player Iman Shumpert.
