Terrell Owens Sued Over ‘Arrest Them Immediately’ Post Following Nolan Wells’ Death

NFL Hall of Famer Terrell Owens is facing a defamation lawsuit from three friends of a Mississippi teenager who died following a Fourth of July boating trip.

Warren Hudson, Jax Pitalo and Morgan Seymour accuse the former NFL star of spreading false allegations about their involvement in the death of Nolan Wells.

On Sept. 26, Owens shared an Instagram video suggesting the young men had deleted evidence from Wells’ cellphone after his death.

“Arrest them immediately!! Like yesterday,” Owens captioned the post.

In a lawsuit filed on Monday in Mississippi, the trio denied the accusations and alleged that Owens’ post contributed to threats and harassment directed at them.

“These completely innocent young men have been subjected to thousands of death threats, face-to-face harassment, and daily fear and ridicule from complete strangers,” the complaint states.

Their fathers also joined the lawsuit because the three are considered minors under Mississippi law.

Wells disappeared July 4 after traveling with friends to a Mississippi island. His body was discovered two days later. A grand jury declined to bring criminal charges in September, finding his death appeared “consistent with drowning.”

However, Wells’ family continues to question that determination and is seeking further investigation.

“I cannot take that ruling, and I cannot move on with my life,” his mother, Christine Wonsley, reportedly said Monday.
