Frank Catania will not be filming season 15 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, according to a new report, leaving one of the show’s most familiar house husbands off camera as the franchise moves forward.
A source told Reality Blurb that Dolores Catania’s ex-husband is not expected to appear in the upcoming season.
“He is not filming for season 15,” the source said.
The reason, the source claimed, traces back to Teresa Giudice and a prior fallout over comments Frank made about her husband, Luis Ruelas.
“Teresa did not want him to be a part of the show,” the source alleged. “She is still mad at what he tried to bring up at the season 13 reunion about Luis.”
During that reunion, Frank accused Luis of abruptly closing his business and ghosting Frankie Catania Jr., Frank and Dolores’ son, who had worked for him. Dolores quickly stepped in and stopped the conversation.
“He got another job. And that was it,” Dolores said at the time, later adding, “This ends right here.”
Frank’s issues with Luis resurfaced during season 14, when he accused him of hiring private investigator Bo Dietl to gather information on the cast.
“Teresa still is angry about what Frank did or tried to do to Luis, and thus did not want him being a part of season 15,” the source added. “And she got what she asked for,” but her decision could hurt his pockets as less exposure may mean fewer endorsement opportunities for Frank.
