Tekashi 6ix9ine made a surprising confession during a tense new interview with Big Bank, revealing he actually paid for the appearance while defending his controversial public persona.

The rapper, born Daniel Hernandez, appeared on Big Bank’s Perspektives With Bank series, where the pair debated everything from snitching allegations to loyalty in the rap industry. At one point, Big Bank suggested the internet’s constant backlash may be taking a toll on 6ix9ine personally.

“You’re trying to convince me I’m not happy,” 6ix9ine fired back before revealing, “If people didn’t know, I’m paying you to be here.” He continued, “This is how I feed my family. So this is my job.”

The interview took a turn as the pair discussed Young Thug, 21 Savage, and law-enforcement cooperation in hip-hop culture. Big Bank called 6ix9ine out over his history of cooperating with federal authorities in his 2019 racketeering case involving the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods.

6ix9ine and his girlfriend, Aliday Alter, announced they are expecting a baby boy during a star-studded gender reveal party attended by Adin Ross, Lil Pump, and N3on.

The rapper recently sparked backlash after joking during the livestream that he would have wanted the pregnancy terminated if the baby had been a girl.
