Teenage Internet Sensation Is NOT Dead … Social Media Calls It One Big HOAX!!

Tiffany Brockworth |

Lil Tay’s death announcement yesterday was faked. A person claiming to be the 14-year-old social media star reportedly went online last night, and on what they are calling her “new” Instagram page on Wednesday evening:

“We are not dead me and my brother had everything taken from us please repost and get this out there my parents are sick people.”

Yesterday, dozens of “media” sites posted an uncorroborated report that viral YouTube star and aspiring rapper Claire Hope, aka Lil Tay, died suddenly at age 14. The “news” came from a message posted on her Instagram account.

“It is with a heavy heart that we share the devastating news of our beloved Claire’s sudden and tragic passing. We have no words to express the unbearable loss and indescribable pain. This outcome was entirely unexpected, and has left us all in shock.”

The statement also claimed that Claire’s brother also passed away and his death “adds an even more unimaginable depth to our grief.”

Lil Tay went viral in 2018 at age 11 by pretending to be a millionaire kid living in million-dollar penthouses.

So what happened? Well no one knows for sure yet, but Media Take Out confirmed that Lil Tay and her brother were in the midst of a bitter legal battle with their parents, over the rights to the name “Lil Tay” and the social media accounts associated with them.

Someone, other that Lil Tay and her new managers made those posts about her passing.
