Teen Brother of D4vd Says “I Want Justice for Celeste”

D4vd’s younger brother, Caleb Burke, is speaking out after facing online speculation connected to the ongoing murder case involving 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez.

In a series of Instagram Stories shared Thursday, the 18-year-old addressed claims circulating online, denying that he protected his brother or had prior knowledge of the situation.

“I want justice for Celeste and her family,” Caleb wrote, adding that he had been hesitant to speak publicly because the case remains active.

The teenager denied allegations that he knew what was happening behind the scenes or maintained a close relationship with D4vd, whose legal name is David Anthony Burke.

“I have not lived with my brother for years, and was not very close with him,” he wrote. “We didn’t speak often other than when our family was brought on tour or he was visiting home.”

Caleb also addressed a viral backstage video showing him with Rivas at one of D4vd’s concerts, saying online claims that he secretly brought her backstage were false. “She was already at the show,” he explained. “The video takes place after the show had already ended.”

The aspiring musician also pushed back against reports suggesting he was using the controversy to promote his own music career.

“My intent has never been to use this to bring attention to myself or my music,” Caleb wrote.

D4vd was arrested in April and later charged in connection with Rivas’ death. A preliminary hearing is scheduled later this month.
