TDE co-founder Punch visited the R&B Money podcast and recalled the now-infamous VMAs after-party fight involving J. Cole and Sean “Diddy” Combs.
The fight was reportedly sparked by Kendrick Lamar’s contentious “Control” verse.
Puch says the unnamed individuals began an argument over the song … and according to fans, he was referring to the fight between J. Cole and Diddy back in 2013.
Punch has also told the story before.
Punch says one of the men threatened to break a vodka bottle and cut the other rapper’s throat before a scuffle ensued.
Punch added that a man who was friends with one of the celebrity onlookers intervened and started beating up J. Cole before he realized he was wrongly attacking Cole, who was signed to Roc Nation at the time.
Fans weighed in.
“Diddy threatened to cut J Cole throat with a Ciroc Bottle, n-gga what?, hip hop is insane,” one viewer wrote.
“J Cole ain’t never did no wrong, that’s a good man right there,” another remarked.
